Important Bonspiel Announcements 1

tvad1A warm area to congregate and meet is the Missoula Fairgrounds Home Arts building about 300 feet to the northwest of the curling rink. This is the place where snacks, drinks, and information will be available during the Bonspiel. Feel free to use this space when you are not curling.

Beer will be available in two places: In the southeast corner of the curling rink and in the Home Arts building about 300 feet to the northwest of the curling rink. You will need to buy a $20 mug to get beer.

The Missoula Bonspiel banquet will be held in the Home Arts Building at 7:30 pm on Saturday March 28. Tickets for the event are in your registration packet. There may be some people curling but they should be done by 8pm and able to join the fun.

Be sure to keep your banquet ticket as you will need it to enter Saturday night. Also, we will have live music starting at about 9:30.

Please be sure you have signed the waiver available at the registration desk before curling and also take a second to fill out a name tag with your first and last name and home curling club.

During the banquet we will be holding a silent action, raffle, and live auction to raise funds for our Missoula Curling Educational Program. Raffle tickets are $1 apiece or 6 for $5. Please buy the raffle tickets so Missoula High School and University of Montana students can learn to curl free of charge.

There is a first aid station at the registration table if there is an emergency

Registered team members can pick up a free Missoula Curling Club T-shirt at the merchandise table. You will need to present the coupon that is included with your registration materials.

We didn’t run out of all beer. By the end of the weekend there was still coors lite, milelr lite, and bud lite on tap, and plenty of bottles. But I hope they fix that next year. As a Fort Wayne curler, and this being my first bonspiel, it was great to meet so many other curlers and I had a great time. Thank you all who made such long trips to compete with our very young club. I hope you all can make it again next year and it is an even better event.
