Winter league will begin Saturday November 14th at 9pm, and last throughout the winter until late March. You will be curling at least 8 games, mostly on Saturday nights either at 9pm or 10:30 pm.
Those 8 games you will play will occur over a 14 to 19 session schedule depending on how many teams we end up with. There may be a few sessions scheduled on Saturday morning depending on the size of the league.
We are hoping to grow from approximately 30, to 40 teams this year across the 3 leagues, competitive, recreational and instructional. It looks like our fees for curling will be a bit less this year if ice time remains the same as last year.
Curling fees are $400 for a team (for 8 games), down by $50 from last year, plus $46 per person for liability insurance, USA Curling membership fee and the Mountain Pacific Region fee, which is down from $55 last year. Also once again an additional $25 refundable fee for league service will be charged. Those completing the service can get the rebate, or if you do not want the rebate it will go into a special fund to help promote youth curling. If you want to look at it as what will it cost me, so assuming a 4 person team playing a minimum of 8 games, the per-person cost this year will be $171 (you can get a $25 rebate once you complete club service to reduce your cost a bit) compared to $192 per-person last year.
If you have someone that wants to sponsor your team, let them know that we are a 501 C (3) non-profit and that sponsor fee will be tax deductible.
