KettleHouse to Host Curling Club Night on October 28

Here's another 50 cents for the club.
Here’s another 50 cents for the club.

Although it is still a ways off, we wanted you to get this on your calendar.

The Northside KettleHouse will be hosting a Community UNite event on October 28 from 5-8 p.m. During that time 50 cents of every pint served will go to the club to help us during what promises to be a very busy year.

So please try to make it down to the brewery on the 28th. We will raise a glass to the season that is set to get under way that weekend and raise some money for the club at the same time.

Winter Season Starts with Social, Free Curling

Seriously… look how pretty the ice looks for this season. The houses are in and we are ready to curl.

It’s been a great fall for the Club. We had about 100 people come out to two learn-to-curls in October and are ramping up plans for the winter season.

So, let’s party!

We have decided to change the plans for the start of the season to have a bit more social time and also invite in last-minute people thinking about curling this season.

Here’s the plan.

The partying starts WEDNESDAY, NOV. 5. from 5-8 p.m. at the Northside KettleHouse we will be hosting a Community UNite. The happy hour(s) is a chance to catch up with people AND raise money for the club. For every pint sold during that time $.50 will be donated to the club. So come out and support the club and have a few pints.

But that’s not all.

So Saturday was set to be the beginning of the league, but we have a few teams still organizing (get your registrations in!) and we look like we may get 28 teams out there curling (plus two instructional league teams).

So we are moving the start of the season back a week to Nov. 15. Instead on Nov. 8 from 9-10:30 we will host an open house/social hour with free pizza, curling and beer.

That’s right… free pizza, curling and beer.

The Club will pay for the ice time and we will use it to welcome back old members and get new members excited about the season to come.

See you there.
