Regional Bonspiels Offer Opportunity for Curling, Fun

A scene from a Whitefish Bonspiel.

Have you ever been to a bonspiel? It is usually a weekend full of curling, a few beers and a lot of fun. These tournaments offer both experienced and new players a chance to improve their skills, meet fellow curlers and have a great time.

Bonspiels also help grow knowledge of our club and draw people to our events.

This year has a lot of regional events that we encourage you to check out. If you are interested, but don’t have a team, you can comment on this post or email us to see if we can find you a group to go with.

We Need Your Help for the Bonspiel

We Need Your Help for the Bonspiel

This year, the Missoula Curling Club will welcome 34 teams to our annual Big Sky Bonspiel.

With 16 teams playing in the division for teams with five or fewer years of experience and 18 playing in the more experienced Open Division, we will have non-stop curling going on from Friday, April 6 – Sunday April 8.

Not surprisingly, we need lots of help to make these events great, from helping set up on Friday afternoon to manning the merchandise table during the games. We are also going to make a special effort to invite the public to come down and watch a game or two. So, people who are willing to mingle and answer questions about the sport would be great, as well.

We have put together
a signup sheet here and
so please take a couple
of spots.

Also, if you have not earned your four hours of service towards your member rebate, this is a great time to wrack them up. Be sure to check with a board member while at the bonspiel to get your hours signed off on.
