Stones of Fury Score Spring League Championship

Spring League Champs Stones of Fury .
Spring League Champs Stones of Fury .

This year’s spring league continued our tradition of more informal, social competition. Teams were largely organized on the first night of the season and for the next seven weeks we met on Monday night to throw some stones and introduce a few new curlers to the sport.

But there was also a competition to be had and in the end Stones of Fury, with Adam Emmert, Jennifer Sanders and Brian Corson-Marquess (as well as Lee Banville, who for some crazy reason missed the championship game) came out on top.

The final had them playing last year’s champs Papa Was a Curling Stone for the title and the Stones prevailed.

Thanks to all who participated.

Club Announces Learn-to-Curls for the Spring

tvad6We’ve heard from folks from Bozeman to Phillipsburg to right here in Missoula that people want to get out on the ice and try curling for themselves.

So here’s the good news, we heard you. Starting April 13th, we will be hosting weekly learn-to-curls at Glacier Ice Rink. Cost is $10 per person.

These sessions will be taking place during spring league play on one of the sheets, so we recommend about 10 folks per session. If you want to email missoulacurling@gmail.com, we could sign you up for a session to ensure you have room or come on down and we will try to make it work.
