Our Club

Formed in 2010, the Missoula Curling Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to introducing people to the sport of curling and providing opportunities to participate in recreational and competitive leagues. With membership now exceeding 200 curlers, the club has grown into one of the largest arena ice curling clubs in the country. We place a particular emphasis on introducing young people to the sport and helping them discover the fun, camaraderie, and community that curling offers.

The club is a local, volunteer-run organization, and there are many ways to get involved. Whether you’re interested in learning to curl, joining a league, helping with events, or volunteering behind the scenes, we’d love to have you involved. Come to one of our Learn to Curl events, attend a club meeting, or reach out to a board member to learn more.

USA Curling & Regional Competition

The Missoula Curling Club is a member of USA Curling and the Dakota Territory Curling Association (DTCA), a regional association representing curling clubs throughout Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The DTCA provides opportunities for teams of all ages and skill levels to compete at the regional level, with competitions in Men’s and Women’s Club, Mixed, U-5 (Five and Under), and Youth competitions, including U-18 and U-14.

As an arena ice club, Missoula teams are eligible to compete in the DTCA Arena Playdowns, which serve as the regional qualifier for the USA Curling Arena National Championships. In 2025, a Missoula men’s team, Team Loucks, finished as runners-up at the DTCA Arena Playdowns in Billings, Montana. This also marked the first time a team from Missoula had competed in a competitive-level USA Curling event.

Dedicated Ice

The Missoula Curling Club currently plays on shared arena ice, which has allowed us to grow the club and introduce curling to thousands of people through leagues, Learn to Curls, youth programs, community events, and bonspiels. As the club continues to grow, we are working toward establishing a dedicated curling facility in Missoula. Dedicated ice would provide more consistent playing conditions and greater access to ice, allowing us to expand our leagues, youth and community programming, competitions, and other opportunities to grow the sport in Montana.
