A 12-year-old learns to curl at an outdoor event in early 2015Central to the Missoula Curling Club’s mission is our desire to have a new generation of Missoulians learn the sport and have a chance to get on the ice to try it out.

Over the past couple of years, we have hosted multi-day teaching sessions with more than 1,400 students from Sentinel and Big Sky High Schools. We have also had four different teams join the league from Hellgate High School.

High School Health Enhancement curling

Once again we will host approximately 1,000 high school kids during 14 one hour PE class sessions in February and March. A much appreciated contingent of volunteers will be requested of members from the club as we get ready for that annual event.

As an official non-profit group (a 501(c)(3)) we have established a special fund to support youth curling. Supporting these funds will help the club purchase ice time for high school learn-to-curls and help students join the club and pay league dues.

Please help make this effort possible by donating however much you can.

Also, if you represent a business that may be willing to sponsor a youth team, please either donate the $450 below or email us at missoulacurling [a] gmail.com.
